eCycling is a relatively new recycling option for televisions, computers and computer accessories being tested by the Midshore Counties. The accepted materials have been expanded to include VCRs, CD players, calculators, cell phones, radios, stereos, CB radios, fax machines and answering machines.

A community-wide event, there is no charge for dropping off equipment; only small per-item donations will be accepted for the environmentally friendly initiative.
Last year, 75 tons of electronic waste was diverted from Alabama landfills. Locations like Staple, Miles College and Vulcan Park have all agreed to act as ecyclingdrop-off locations, meaning residents can easily drop off any old technology on Saturday.
